[REVIEW] Jill Stuart Lip Blossom Lipsticks

HELLO pretty angel fluffs,
This review post is super long due I know T.T Remember my Tokyo Beauty Haul post? I meant to do a review on all my Jill Stuart hauls from Tokyo (which was back in April) >_< BUT! better late than never right?!?!!?

I know this (beautifully arranged) picture looks like a million thing’s going on but there’s really just 1 perfume and 2 lipsticks ^^v (plus some random sample of body lotion)
These Jill Stuart Lip Blossom Lipsticks have the most amazing, intricate packaging with a pop up mirror at the top! How cool is that! This one is in 08 Pretty Poppy, and is a rich red color. These lipsticks are not super pigmented, but are more moist and filled with Vit E for that plump, slightly stained, juicy color. And it stays on for like ever because it feels just like a lipbalm!
The Jill Stuart Lip Blossom Lipstick in 09 – Brilliant lily. In the packaging, this lipstick has a bright orange color but when applied is a soft coral color that is great for everyday wear! It also has the tiniest hint of shimmer in it so your lips will sparkle ever so slightly hahaha!
Packaging: 10/10
I tried guys. I tried to look for a packaging flaw but I. JUST. COULDN’T.FIND.ONE. I think it’s different to not fall in love with such an amazing silver packaging WITH a built in mirror!
Color Payoff: 7/10
Depends on what you are looking for. Some lipsticks (like the YSL lipsticks) are super pigmented, even more so when applied than when seen in the tube. Some people like that, some people don’t. This lipstick will NOT give you that exact same color as the tube, because it has a sheet formula built in along with Vit E and moisturizing properties (like a lipbalm). What you end up with is a super wearable color that feels like a lipbalm and wouldn’t dry out your lips!
Lasting Power: 8/10
Pretty good, like 3-4 hours. It definitely wouldn’t last a whole day, again because of the lip balm properties built in. But it should last you in between your meals and all you need to do is reapply after your meals!
Comfort: 10/10
It feels like you’re wearing lipbalm – it’s sooooo moisturizing and unless some lipsticks which can majorly dry out your lips in the long run, this actually keeps the plumpness and juiciness of your lips and is the perfect middle ground between a lipstick and a lipgloss! And it’s different than a lip butter because in my experience those things tend to melt and go everywhere and be super sticky.

I believe these lipsticks, however amazing they are, can ONLY be purchased at a Jill Stuart Beauty Store (which isn’t available in North America #rolleyes #notsurprised). OR you can find them online… I know ebay sells them and maybe the online japanese store does too!

Let me know what you think!! <3

xoxo, Mango

Hey Mango! I always love great packaging makeup =D Jill Stuart has such a gorgeous and very elegant design, I’ll definitely buy it just because of the packaging alone! hehe. Although I’d prefer the lipstick to be more pigmented, it looks more of a tinted lip gloss to me.. I still love the color on you though! Beautiful! Thanks for the helpful review hun! <3

Take care always, love Christine ~ xx
